The grey folk

Grey folk have been living in the valley long before we arrived and there was peace for a while then the orc tribes decided for no reason we have figured out that the valley belonged to them, there have been many skirmishes with them and they recruited the Kobolds and remaining giants to their cause.

Many in the valley would love to see them completely eradicated but the council will not go down that path as we believe that all living things should find a way to live peacefully together.

Something of late has stirred the Skel and it appears they are working with the grey folk, to what ends we do not yet know...

Moving woes

Sorry I have not been around for a bit, I am in the middle of a hard move. I will be getting back on track soon. Thanks for the patience.

Known bugs 3.1b

Firebolt does no damage. Fixed.

When saving Gord you complete the quest but get no visual clue. Fixed.

One of the loot drops is in the ground and you cannot pick it up. Pending.

I am now aware of the fact that you can re-cross certain triggers that should only fire once and that you can get some quests twice in your log but not be able to finnish them, I am looking into fixes for both.

Remember, it is not a bug, it is an un-documented feature.

One man show

Sorry if I have been missing my weekly update mark but when you are the only one play testing and the game gets bigger and bigger and more complicated it takes longer to play through every nook and cranny so your feedback is crucial, thanks.

Now that I have 2 other partners things should progress faster and the next build will see Wardens pass finished as well as the 2nd level of Thunder eye keep and the conclusion the of the first main quest plus a few new surprises.

3.1b

I think all bugs are out and this is the best build yet. The play build will be up sometime today.

Aside from that the game is the same as the player version.

The shield

The order of the Shield started early in the creation of the Guardians when Lord Pantere betrayed his own men and his Royal guard slew him during the early stages of the plain’s war. Commander Galdren was the head of the Royal guard and he and his men withdrew to a guardian tower in the plains of Hredra.

He offered his alliance to, and swore to protect the Weavers with a life oath, and so the Order of the Shield was born.

We are the Shield, we are the strong arm and we are the keepers of peace...

The Redhand

The Redhand were former soldiers and Weavers of the coalition army during the plain’s war. When it was over, a large group split from the main host to become mercenaries and called themselves the Redhand and started wearing red armor.

After the Rift creatures were hunted down they were all but out of work and eventually turned to banditry and slaving. They are spread across Zuun and are hunted down almost everywhere they are found.

Some larger groups have formed small city states in the wild regions of the land and have yet to be dealt with...

3.1a

3.1a is ready for release and I am pretty happy with it. The story is coming along nicely and though I did not have Wardens Pass done yet I now have a partner who is working on the needed assets for it and other portions of the game so by next update it should be done as well as the first main storyline quest.

Your feedback is crucial to the game so please use my forums or contact me direct with anything at all. Thanks.

Thunder Eye Keep

Thunder Eye Keep as it was once called, sits atop Thunder peak, it is one of many in the valley that we have researched and used to our advantage many times.

We believe that they were built by the ancestors of the Thunder Giants and were far superior in intellect and craftsmanship than the brutes of today.

The guardians claimed it for one of their towers long ago but the last Guardian to reside there left in favor of Wardens Pass in these peaceful times.

Rumor has it that the Thunder Giants have reclaimed it, or something worse, you are here to find out what is going on and reclaim the Guardian Tower...

3.1a

Nothing is as frustrating to me as missing a personal deadline and this bug I am hunting is elusive, but I will find it soon.

A fan asked about the controls and play balance. These are alpha builds I am putting out and are for play testing and bug hunting, as soon a I have a few more testers I will start making play builds where you start with only your initial skills, Hp and Wp. Also the enemies will have full health instead of being dumbed down.

You will acquire your skills through several methods that include quests, level up and purchase to name a few. Also this is only chapter one, this will be a multi chapter game and there will be 3 playable characters when I am done.

After this chapter I am going to a new engine but for now the controls are-

MOVEMENT

L-mouse click to move.
WASD- to move.
Up-Down arrow keys to move.

CAMERA

R-mouse hold to rotate camera
Left-Right arrow keys to rotate camera left and right.
Scroll wheel will move you into top down or 3rd person view.

BATTLE

Single left click to select NPC.
Dbl left click to make new selection.
Click ground to un-select.

With Npc selected-

Left click any skill to fire it.
Dbl left click to set auto fire.
Right click anywhere to fire any skill that is in slot 2.
Dbl right click anywhere to set auto fire on any skill in slot 2.

You can put skills and items in any slot you want through their individual screens.

Some of these will likely change in chapter 2 and may change for this chapter.

Weavers

We are the Weavers, you may also know us as mages, warlocks, witches and the like, it matters not, we are Weavers.

We weave the essence, the life energies of every living thing in the land. We can form this essence into weaves that protect or harm, give life or take it.

We can create and destroy, there is no evil in the weaving only the Weaver. This is what became of the RiftWeavers who sought to control others through use of the rifts and became mad with power.

We sought allies in hunting them down and found many of like mind, so the Guardians came to be. One RiftWeaver in particular, Jael, glimpsed what hid in the Rift and turned from his brothers to become our first council member and leader. When the rift started spewing it’s creatures into our lands others joined him...
